On Saturday, 7th of October 2017, the last day of the German Weeks, the German Embassy in Namibia, Global Experience, the College of the Arts and Vivid Voices invite you to the opening of the exhibition United in Diversity at the College of the Arts Courtyard.
This multimedia-based exhibition is the outcome of a several weeks lasting intercultural cooperation between young people from Namibia and Germany. During their mutual visits, the partners learned about each other’s life styles. Interviews with people in the streets of Berlin, Bremen and Windhoek gave valuable insights into the other as well the own society and culture. A colourful portrait of both countries has been drawn: it identifies challenges in both societies and documents people‘s personal wishes for the future.
Music highlight: Choirs The Vivid Voices and CotA Youth Choir
The exhibition will be accompanied by a real musical treat. The German youth choir The Vivid Voices will interprete the topic Together is Unity jointly with the CotA Youth Choir. Separately, as well as together, they will rock the hall at the College of the Arts.
We invite you to unite in diversity and discuss the topics of the exhibition with photographer Kulius Tjiopo (Windhoek), Easy Languages (Berlin) and all other participants of the exchange of The Global Experience (Namibia- Germany)
Following the exhibition visitors are cordially invited to a reception hosted by the German Embassy.
The exposition will be online on http://united-in-diversity.org/ from 7 of October, and later be shown in Bremen and Berlin.

Die Deutsche Botschaf Windhoek, The Global Experience, das College og the Arts und Vivid Voices laden Sie ein zur Eröffnunge der Ausstellung „United in Diversity“ im Innenhof des College of the Arts. Die Veranstaltung ist der Ausklang der Deutschen Wochen 2017.
Die multimediale Ausstellung ist das Ergebnis einer interkulturellen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Jugendlichen aus Namibia und Deutschland. Bei gegenseitigen Besuchen in beiden Ländern lernten die Partner sich und die Lebensweisen der anderen kennen. Durch Interviews auf den Straßen von Berlin, Bremen und Windhoek erhielten die Teilnehmenden wertvolle Einblicke in die eigene wie auch die andere Gesellschaft und Kultur.
Es entstand ein buntes Porträt beider Länder. Es zeigt die Herausforderungen, vor denen die Gesellschaften stehen, und dokumentiert persänliche Zukunftspläne und Wünsche der befragten Menschen.
Musikalisches Highlight: Zwei Jugendchöre
Die musikalische Umrahmung der Veranstaltung ist ein echter Leckerbissen: die beiden Jugendchöre “The Vivid Voices“ (Deutschland) und CotA Youth Choir (Namibia) interpretieren das Thema “Together is Unity“ und bringen den Hof des College of the Arts zum Beben!
Wir laden Sie ein, sich gemeinsam mit den Fotografen Julius Tjipo (Windhoek), Easy Languages (Berlin) und allen Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern des Austauschprojekts über die Themen der Ausstellung auszutauschen. Die Deutsche Botschaft Windhoek lädt alle Gäste zu einem Umtrunk ein.
Die Ausstellung wird ab dem 7.10.2017 auch online unter http://united-in-diversity.org/ zu sehen sein und später noch einmal in Bremen und Berlin gezeigt.
